Amateur Cantors Club
Elects First Officers

At the first formal meeting of
the newly-organized Amateur
Cantors Club last Saturday, the
following officers were elected:
Hyman Koral, president; David
Gutman, vice-president; a n d
Harry Ratner, secretary-treas-
urer; Joseph Kadans and Mau-
rice Weiner join them on the
executive committee.
The organization, which has
as its purpose the encourage-
ment of prayer and the study of
Jewish philosophy, also seeks to
organize a women's auxiliary.

Presidium to Head
Local Rabinnical Body
A three-man presidium, com-
posed of Rabbis Leizer Levin,
Isaac Stollman and Joseph
Rabinowitz, has been selected
by the Vaad Organization to
guide the rabbinical body dur-
ing the coming year. Rabbi
Levin will serve as chairman.
Also chosen by the Vaad
