Mizrachi Leader Miss Weisman touted
Guest in Detroit Serviceman, Dec. 25
Mrs. Abraham Danzig, na-
tional vice-president of the Miz-
rachi Women's Organization of
America from Kansas City, Mo.,
will he a guest of Detroit chap-
ters for a week, beginning
Monday.
Her principal purpose in
visiting here is to participate
in Mizrachi Women's expansion
institutes. While in Detroit,
she will be the house guest of
Dr. and Mrs. Harry Portnoy.
Scheduled as part of her
schedule in Detroit are the fol-
lowing meetings which she will
address:
Monday afternoon — Fannie
Gluck Chapter election meet-
ing at Rainbow Terrace; Mon-
day evening, Oak Park Chap-
ter meeting, in the home of
Mrs. Helen Green; Tuesday
afternoon, Sisters of Zion Miz-
rachi workshop, at the home
of Mrs. Abe Feldman, 4014
Sturtevant.
Other appearances will be
Wednesday evening, Fannie
Gluck workshop, in the home
of Mrs. Joseph Ainbinder, Oak
Park; Thursday afternoon, Sis-
ters of Zion Mizrachi mother
and daughter luncheon, at Holi-
day Manor: Thursday evening,
guest speaker at a program of
Northwest Child Rescue Wo-
men.
Mrs. Danzig will outline ex-
pansion of Mizrachi Women's
institutions for child care in
Israel, on the basis of her ob-
servations there,

Fresh Air Camp Has
Spots in All Sessions
Openings for campers, aged
8, 9 and 10, at Fresh Air Camp,
near Brighton, Mich., was an-
nounced this week by the Fresh
Air Society, the communal
camping agency.
Boys and girls in this age
classification may be enrolled
in any of the three sessions,
June 27-July 16; July 16-Aug.
5; and Aug. 6-24.
The camp provides a full pro-
gram of activities, including
swimming instruction, canoe-
ing, boating, hiking, cook-outs,
sabbath services, arts and crafts,
nature study and all sports.
Counselor-camper ratio is four
to one.
Provisions are made by the
Fresh Air Society for adjust-
ments in camp fees, based on
the ability of individual fami-
lies to pay. A camp official
stated that "no child need be
denied a trip to camp because
of inability to pay."

ter Symphony Orchestra, con-
ducted by Julius Chajes, will
present a "Family Concert" at
2:30 p.m., Sunday, May 18, at
the Davison branch.
Wyn Garden Landis, soprano,
and Irving Rosengard, baritone,
will be heard in arias by Mo-
zart, Verdi and Strauss. Harvey
Seigel, concertmaster of the
Center Symphony Orchestra,
will play the first movement of
L a lo ' s Symphony Espagnole.
Shirley Seguin, pianist, will per-
form Gershwin's Rhapsody in
Blue. Inez Hullinger and Rich-
ard Margitza, violinists; Mario
Di Fiore, cellist and all mem-
bers of the Orchestra, will be
heard in Vivaldi's Concerto
Grosso in D minor.
Also listed on the program is
"Furioso" by .the Swiss com-
poser, Rolf Liebermanu, which
will be heard for the first time
in Detroit.
