Mizrachi to Honor
Rabbi Stollman on
Return from Israel

A delegation of representatives
of the American rabbinate,
synagogues and religious insti-
tutions left for Israel to par-
ticipate in the opening of the
new headquarters of the Chief
Rabbinate in Jerusalem, which
took place May 8 (Lag b'Omer).
The delegation was headed by
Rabbi Isaac Stollman, of De-
troit, president of the united
religious Zionist organization,
Mizrachi-Hapoel Hamizrachi.
The new dwelling of the
Chief Rabbinate was erected
with the help of British Jewry,
under the leadership of the
philanthropist, Z. Wolfson.
The celebration was part of
the program of the 10th anni-
versary of Israel and attracted
thousands of tourists.
Detroit Mizrachi is planning a
dinner reception on June 12 in
honor of Rabbi Stollman on his
return from Israel. Details will
be announced later.
This affair will culminate
Mizrachi joint action with the
Detroit committee for Mifal
Hatorah's efforts for free med-
ical aid service and Torah edu-
cation in Israel.

ver anniversary with the
Temple, Dr. Hertz said:
"For a quarter of a century,
Jason Tickton has inspired both
young and old alike by bring-
ing to the congregation the
spiritual quality of Jewish
music and filling their hearts
with the melodies of our fore-
fathers.
"No tribute to Jason Tickton
would be complete without
mentioning his service to our
religious school and our young
people. Together with his be-
loved and gifted wife, Mamie,
he has trained our children's
and youth choirs, and has
brought to our children an ap-
preciation of the sacred music
of our people.
"On this anniversary of his
25th year of service and great
devotion to Temple Beth El,
we extend to Jason Tickton
our heartiest congratulations
and our lasting gratitude."
