to Florida, the Detroit Social
Club of Miami Beach this sea-
son experienced an overwhelm-
ing success.
Typical was a recent party,
planned conservatively for • 150
people, at which 360 Detroiters
or ex-Detroiters showed up. Ac-
cording to Harry I. Gross, De-
troit real estate broker, who
was chairman of the event,
everyone was happy—except
perhaps the caterer.
Philip Sukrow, of Detroit,
is president of the group, which
has as its main purpose, seeing
to it that Detroiters who are
guests in Miami have an - "extra
enjoyable stay."
Other officers besides Sukrow
and Gross, who is treasurer, in-
clude Lee Gross, vice-president;
Phil Rothbart. second vice-presi-
dent; Jack Garelick, Gladys
Dinitz and Ann Tamiroff, sec-
retaries.
Members of the executive
