Sets Spring Dance
The seventh annual spring
dance of Chapter II, Sholem
Aleichem Institute, will be held
May 3, in the Institute audi-
torium, 19350 Greenfield, an-
nounces chairman Bette Shul-
man.
The climax of the evening
will be the award of a free
five-day vacation for two at
Oakton Manor in Wisconsin.
Sammy Barnett's orchestra
will play for dancing, and light
refreshments will be served.

City Young Marrieds
Set Third Annual
Combined Dance
The third • annual Intercon-
gregational Young Marrieds
Dance will be held at 8:30 p.m.
April 19, with members of the
Adas Shalom Young Married
Couples Club serving as hosts
at their synagogue.
Other participating groups in-
clude Bnai David, Bnai Moshe,
Shaarey Zedek, Temple Beth El
and Temple Israel.
A spring cocktail dance, the
program will feature dancing
to the music of Dick Stein and
his orchestra. Hors d'eouvres
and cocktails will be served
throughout the evening, with
a midnight sweet table capping
the festivities.

to Meet for Election
Election of officers for the
coming year will highlight a
meeting of the Sisterhood of
Adas • Shalom Synagogue at
12:30 p.m., Monday, in the syna-
gogue social hall.
Following a dessert luncheon,
"Music of Our People," a pro-
gram arranged by the Sister-
hood Choral Group, under the
direction of Mrs. Joseph Markel,
will be presented. Mrs. George
Bassin will be at the piano.
Mrs. Markel, who served as
chairman of the nominating

Camp Petosega Makes
Room for 26 Campers
Additional facilities for 26
new campers, both boys and
girls, have been completed at
Camp Petosega, it is announced
by Leonard Baruch and Bert-
rand Sandweiss, directors.
The expansion program at the
327-acre camp, located at Pick-
erel Lake near Petoskey, Mich.,
was brought about by a demand
by both parents and children,
the directors said.
Camp Petosega, which seeks
to develop the concept of inten-
sive instruction in all aspects
of camping, has been cited for
its achievements, and many of
its campers have received
awards by many of the national
camp organizations.
Included in the camp's activi-
ties are swimming, diving, can-
oeing, water skiing, sailing, nav-
igation, crafts, horsemanship,
music, dramatics, archery, rifle-
ry, tennis, Indian lore, nature
study, camperaft and all land
sports.
Because of the 26 additional
places, registration for the sum-
mer season has been re-opened.

Farband Camp, a non-profit
summer comp -operated by the
Labor Zionist Organization, be-
gins its 30th anniversary sea-
son with programs designed to
celebrate both its birthday and

Besides their regular camping
activities, Farband Camp chil-
dren will learn about Israel's
accomplishments, its heros and
tribulations and the rolt that

rael's establishment and growth.
