The reports include a book
review of Milton Steinberg's
"As a Driven Leaf" by Mrs.
Victor Moss; a Bible discussion
on Genesis led by Harriet Ber-
lin; a review of the role of.
Yiddish drama by Mrs. Joseph
Warren; and a discussion of
Hebrew Responsa conducted by
Mrs. Arthur Winer.
Assisting in workshop pre-
parations are Mesdames Allan
Marks and Mark Zivian, co-
chairmen; Ray Witus, displays
and awards; Jerome Sonenklar,
Jules Gale and Eric Spivak,
hospitality; and Irving Keller
and Fred Greenhut, registra-
tion.
Refreshments in the form of

This Week's Radio and

Twenty leaders of the Jewish
Welfare Federation have ac-
cepted memberships on national
committees of the Council of
Jewish Federations and Wel-
fare Funds, the national asso-
ciation of central community
organizations. Member cities
total almost 800.
The Council meets once each
year in general assembly where
member cities exchange experi-
ences and are brought up-to-
date on advances in the field
of community services. The gen-
eral assembly will meet from
Nov. 13 to 16, in Washington,
D. C. Regional meetings are
held at intervals during the
year.
Morris Garvett, Samuel H.
Rubiner, George M. Stutz and
Isidore Sobeloff, executive vice-
president of Federation, a r e
members of the General As-
sembly Program Committee.
Judge Theodore Levin, Fed-
eration president, and Stutz will
serve on the budget and finance
committee, and Max M. Fisher,
1958 Allied Jewish Campaign
chairman, and Sobeloff are
members of the national-local
relations committee.
Milton Maddin has accepted
membership on the personnel
services committee; Mrs. Theo-
dore Bargman, Max Shaye and

committee; and Mrs. Benjamin

on the child care committee.
Garvett is also chairman of

eration, will serve on that com-
mittee. Avrunin also serves on
the social planning and regional
