Why Is This
Night Different?

Two months ago I got a cable
from my cousin who lives in
New York in which he asked
me to reserve a room for him
in a hotel in Jerusalem during
the week of the Passover fes-
tival. I picked up the telephone
and got in touch with one of the
large hotels in the city.
"Shalom! I want to reserve a
room for the week of the Pass-
•
over festival."
"I am very sorry, sir," the
man in the hotel replied. "All

our rooms have already been
booked, several months ago:"
I explained to the man that
the room was needed for a
guest from America, who was
coming specially to spend the
Passover Festival in the Holy
City. But my explanation did
not help. The man in the hotel
told me that this year all of
his guests would be from abroad.
I did not imagine that so
many tourists are coming to
Israel in order to taste (the
taste of) Matza here.
o
This, of course (as is known),
is the tenth year in which our
children asked "Why is this
night different from other
nights," as citizens of the State

do not feel how many and how
great are the changes in the

OUR CHILDREN

and the

PASSOVER

Moe Leiter

Each year, as winter dies and spring bustles in, the Passover comes

as a joyous festival giving us a sense of rejuvenation., of hope, and of

faith in the future.

Families join in happy re-union, and those of us with parental

responsibility look around and count our blessings.

The blessing of children brings not only joy but sacrifice and

faith; and faith in the future is urgently needed in our lives, for without

it life loses all its savour.

In the life insurance business it is our privilege to witness the

financial sacrifices of countless families for the sake of their children.

We pledge our continuing service, strong in the belief that life insurance

and faith are a rod and a staff that will comfort you.

Best Greetings From Us All
