Put Accent on Fashion
1 12th Annual Donor on Wednesday at Luncheon, Show

Finalizing plans for the 12th annual donor event of the
Women's Auxiliary of the Maimonides Medical Society are,
left to right, seated: Mesdames ISRAEL WIENER, president;

honorary coordinator. The donor, to be held at 8:30 p.m.,
Wednesday, at Temple Israel, will be a social evening, fea-
turing a solo presentation of a new Broadway show by Sulie
Harand, musical dramatist; a buffet, music by the Pete Baltrus
Trio and prizes. Proceeds will go to medical philanthropies
sponsored here and in Israel by the Auxiliary.

the Women's Committee, 17th
Congressional District Demo-
cratic Party at 12:30 p.m., Sat-
urday, at the Western Golf
and Country Club.
Cong. Martha • Griffiths and
Representative Josephine Hun-
singer will model fashions by
Jacqueline Shops, and a spec-
ial sequence featuring the latest
in fur styles by Offen Furs will
be narrated by Mrs. Phil Hart,
wife of the Lieutenant Gover-
nor.
Mrs. Lawrence Gubow is a
co-chairman of the program, to-
gether with Mrs. Robert Knox.
Others serving on the commit-
tee include Mesdames Louis
Rubin, tickets; Jack Schon, dec-
orations; and Gerald Snitz, and
Wallace Ross, fashion arrange-

Grand members of the. Dis. G.L.
(District Grand Lodge), of Cin-
cinnati, consisting of Messrs.
E z e k i e 1, Aub and Friedman,
have performed the solemn and
interesting act of installing our
new Lodge, to the great satisfac-
tion of every member. There-
fore be it
RESOLVED, that we herewith
tender our hearty thanks to the
most worthy Dis. G.L., - I.O.B.B.,
Cincinnati, for the able and effi-
cient officers they have depu-
tized to install our Lodge. .
RESOLVED, that the un-
feigned thanks of the members
of the Lodge are due, and are
hereby respectfully tendered to
Messrs. Ezekiel, Aub and Fried-
man for the ability and elo-
quence displayed by them in the
installation, and that the pleas-
ure of having met together on
this occasion will not soon be
forgotten.

Remnants of Pisgah's Past Still
Being Uncovered; Cite First Record
Although the centennial an-
niversary of Pisgah Lodge, De-
troit's first Bnai Brith organiza-
tion, was celebrated last No-
vember, interesting items of
information still continue to be
uncovered about the Lodge and
its beginnings.
This week, through the ef-
forts of Irving I. Katz, execu-
tive secretary of Temple Beth
El, the first record of Pisgah
Lodge has been made available.
It is a resolution f r o in the
Lodge which appeared in the
February, 1858, issue of Rabbi
