Planned for June 15

The bride-elect attends Wayne
State University. Her fiance is
a senior at the WSU medical
school; where he is affiliated
with Phi Lambda Kappa fra-
ternity.
A June 15 wedding is
planned.

Mrs-. Robert Broner
Wins Poetry Awards

Mrs. Robert Broner, 18981
Greenlawn, has won two awards
for her poetry at the University
of North Carolina College of
Women, Greensboro, N. C.
The poems, "The Drawing
Child" and "The Mute Mother,"
have already been published in
a periodical and they are to be
read at a creative arts festival
at the university today and Sat-
urday.
Mrs. Broner is the mother of
three children: Her husband is
a Detroit Times' artist and she
is the daughter of. Mr. and Mrs.
Paul Masserman. Last year Mrs.
Broner won first prize for a
short story and second for a po-
em in a competition at Wayne
State UniVersity.

BB Women Offer 'Fortune Teller' Bnai Brith Slates

held at 8:30 p.m., Thursday, at

According to Mrs. Philip
Fealk, Council- president, the
new members will be initiated
as the Ann Hartstein Class, hon-
oring Mrs. Hartstein, a past
president of both Detroit Chap-
ter and the Council.

Hahonim Kvutzah Meets
Sundays for Discussions

Bonim Noar Kvutzah of Hab-
onim has scheduled a number
of speakers on labor unions,
Histadrut and American politics
for coming weeks. Meetings are
held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the
Hayim Greenberg Center, 19161

Plans are now being made for
Habonim's annual play, slated
for May 3, and preparations are
being made for the opening of
their 26th camping season.

Bayer, Miss Stroh Back
on Michigama Staff

Returning again this year to
the staff of Camp Michigama
and Camp Michigama Hill for
Girls are -Carl Bayer, athletic
director at the Parkman School,
and Shirley Stroh, health di-
rector at the Vetal School.
Bayer, who returns as co-
ordinator of boys' activities, is
a former all-time basketball
great from Wayne State Uni-
versity, where he was team
captain. He also was coach and
played on the Alameda Air
Force Base squad which was
rated number one in the nation
some years back.
Miss Stroh will be serving her
fifth season as head counsellor
at Michigatna Hills.

this week issued a call to all
members to support the March
blood bank drive.
Stating that there is pres-
ently an urgent need for blood,
the chairmen noted that there
will be two rallies to accom-
modate the large crowd that
is anticipated.
The first will be held Mon-
day night, at Clinton School,
Parklawn and 9 Mile, Oak
Park, while the second will
take place at Adas Shalom
Synagogue, Curtis and Santa
Rosa on Tuesday. Both e•e-
nings, the rallies will run from
6 to 12 p.m.
