rasha and High School Build-
ing of the United Hebrew
Schools and the official open-
ing of the Midrasha's second
annual Institute will be major
events during the coming week.
The new UHS building,
named in honor of Abe Kasle,
president of the schools, will
be dedicated at ceremonies at
the Esther Berman Auditorium
Sunday evening. The Institute
program of five consecutive
Wednesday evening lectures
will start Wednesday evening.
With Dr. Judah Goldin,
Dean of Teachers College of
the Jewish Theological Se-
minary of New York, as prin-
cipal speaker, on the subject
"The Role of Higher Jewish
Education," the Sunday eve-
ning program • will include an
evaluation of the Midrasha
studies by Albert Elazar,
superintendent of the United
Hebrew Schools; greetings by
Louis LaMed, chairman of
the Midrasha board, and

the Education Division of the
Jewish Welfare Federation,
who will bring a message to
the gathering from the or-
ganized community.
A student of the Mittelshule,
the Yiddish High School, will
speak for his fellow-students in
the department that is affiliated
