Four generations of the Weis-
man family, many other rela-
tives and a host of friends will
join March 2 to help Mr. and
Mrs. Sam Weisman, of 16845
Birwood, celebrate one of the
grandest events that can bless
any couple-50 years of happy
marriage.
To Sam and Minnie Weisman,
their marriage always has been
the finest and happiest part of
their lives. They were wed right
here in Detroit, and, during
those . 50 years, they have seen
"our town" grow from a small

plumber's license, he went into
business, in which he is still
active today.
He also is president of the
Flood Control Valve Co., which
manufactures a patented de-
vice to prevent basements from
flooding.
Mr. and Mrs. Weisman are
members of Pisgah Lodge and
Chapter of Bnai Brith and of
Cong. Beth Moses. He is affili-
ated with Perfection Lodge,
F. & A.M., and Mrs. Weisman
belongs to Purity Chapter, Or-
der of the Eastern Star, and
Hadassah.
The Weismans have six chil-
dren, Donald and Marvin, who
are in business with their fath-
er, another son, William, a phar-
macist; and three daughters,
Mrs. Betty Israel, Mrs. Ruth
Berk and Mrs. Ethel Freedman.
They also have 12 grandchil-
dren and a great grandchild.
