Students of the Midrasha, the
College of Jewish Studies of the
United Hebrew Schools, and
community leaders will partici-
pate in the dedication of the
Kasle Midrasha and High School
Building, Sunday evening, Feb.
23, at the Esther Berman Audi-
torium adjoining the new build-
ing on Schaeffer near Seven
Mile Road.
The guest speaker at the
ceremonies will be Dr. Judah
Goldin, 'noted educator and
author. Greetings will be ex-
tended by Dr. Samuel M.
Brownell, superintendent of
Detroit Public Schools.
Louis LaMed, chairman of the
Midrasha Commission, will speak
briefly, outlining the Midrasha
program. A student of the Mid-
rasha will discuss a portion of
the Talmud.
There will be musical_ se-
lections by the United He-
brew SChools' students choir.
The presentation of a certifi-
cate to Abe Kasle, who will be
honored by having the new

building named for him, will be
made in behalf of the schools by
David Safran.
Morris Garvett will speak -
in behalf of the Jewish com-
munity as chairman of the
Education Division of the Jew-
ish Welfare federation.
Dr. Goldin will be introduced
by Albert Elazar, superinten-
dent of the United Hebrew
Schools.
A social hour and a tour of
the building will follow the pro-
gram.
Special events are planned for
the week of the Kasle Build-
ing's dedication, including a pro-
gram by the Midrasha students
and visits to classes by parents
and members of the community.
- The dedication will be fol-
lowed by the annual Midrasha
Institute, which will open on
Feb. 26 with an address by
Dr. Jacob B. Agus, of Balti-
more.
Five sessions, on successive
Wednesday evenings, are plan-
ned for the Midrasha Institute.
