Dr. John J. Pollack, well-
known Detroit pediatrician,
has been named Chief of Staff
at Children's Hospital.
A former president of the
Detroit Pediatric Society, Dr.
Pollack is a Fellow of the
American Academy of Pedia-
tricians. He is a member of
the attending staffs of Chil-
dren's Sinai and Grace Hos-
pitals, is a member of the
Wayne County and other medi-
cal societies, and of the Mai-
monides Medical Society. '
He is a member of the board
of the Fresh Air Society.

Report Only 15 Jews Hired
for Civil Service in Lebanon

JERUSALEM (JTA).— Only
15 Jews are employed in the
Lebanese . civil service and
these are all in minor positions
under Close surveillance, the
Premier told Parliament here.
He was replying to opposi-
tion questions as to the num-
ber of Jews in the government
service. The Premier reported
that the size of the Lebanese
Jewish community was declin-
ing and had reached between
8,000 and 10,000.
