MRS. JACK GREENBERG

Among other plans an-
nounced this week, the Work-

rangements for the arrival of
"Menachem Mendel" in Detroit.
Menachem Mendel is a char-
acter created by Sholem Alei-
chem who will be transported
to a New York setting when he
is presented by the Workmen's
Circle at 8:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at
the Detroit Art Institute. The
play is one of the few visits
paid Detroit by the Yiddish
theater. Tickets are available
at the Workmen's Circle office,

ish Daily Forward office, 9124

slightly incapacitated with the
sale of their Educational Cen-
ter on Linwood, while their
new building has not yet been
completed.
Individual members of the

giving luncheons in their homes
so that the aid given institu-

Saturday at the home of Mrs.

to come.

usual.

semester is now open in the
Workmen's Circle School s.

boys and girls ages 6 to 13. A
fine staff teaches the children

Holidays. Classes for the Dex-
ter-Linwood area are conduct-
