In 1955 Rabbi Bernstein vis-
ited North Africa where he
gained first-hand knowledge of
the life-Saving rescue work that
is made possible by the gener-
osity of America's Jews. He is
vice-president of the American
executive branch of the World
Jewish Congress and vice-presi-
dent of the World Alliance for
Friendship.
A three-member panel wilt
discuss social welfare trends
and serve as consultants- at the
morning workshop sessions.
Panel members are Miriam R.
Ephraim, director of the pro-
gram section of the National
Jewish Welfare Board's Jewish
Community Center Division,
Morris Zelditch, director of so-
cial planning for the Council of
Jewish Federations and Wel-
fare Funds, and Isidore Sobel-
off, executive vice-president of
the Detroit Jewish Welfare Fed-
eration.
