University's Judaica Research
project, designed to provide
English translations of ancient
and medieval Jewish classics,
has received a new grant of
$35,000 from the Jacob Ziskind
Charitable Trust, of Boston.
The new gift will ensure con-
tinuation of this scholarly proj-
ect, originally launched in 1945
with a gift from the late Louis
M. Rabinowitz, of New York
City.
As a result of the new gift,
announced by President A.
Whitney Griswold of Yale, the
translation and publication of
volumes in the future will be
financed jointly by the Rabino-
witz Foundation and the Jacob
Ziskind Charitable Trust.
The 12 volumes published to
date were financed by the Ra-
binowitz Foundation.
