Jr. Hadassah to Aid
Israel Cultural Center

MONSEY, N.Y.—Junior Ha-
dassah will contribute $5,000 to-
ward creation of a synagogue
and cultural center at Meier
Shfeyah, the children's village
located in the Samarian Hills
30 miles south of Haifa. This
decision was taken in a resolu-
tion approved by the 250 dele-
gates from all parts of the
United States attending the
four-day national convention of
Junior Hadassah held here.
Building operations are ex-
pected to begin in Jan., 1958.
The synagogue and cultural
center are slated for comple-
tion next summer.
In another resolution, Junior
Hadassah undertook to contrib-
ute $1,000 toward the purchase
of microscopes to be used in
the Henrietta Szold School of
Nursing in Jerusalem.
Fifty members of Junior Ha-
dassah will be sent to Israel in
1958 to participate in the Israel
Summer Institute.
