Several communal groups .have been busily engaged for
several years in working with the Detroit Association for
Retarded Children (DARC) by contributing funds and par-
ticipating in their programs. The above photographs illustrate
some of this activity.
In the top photo, Gov. 'Williams is shown attending an
open house celebration of DARC at the Tau Beta house in
Hamtramck. This activity, sponsored* by the Neagarten Medi-
cal Aid Society, has grown in three years from eight to 60
children between the ages of four and seven years. Pictured

Neugarten, chairman of the DARC Nursery; Mrs. BENJAMIN
