Arotsky Marks 70th- Birthday Over forty years of commun- ity service were remembered by friends and relatives who honored Morris A. Arotsky on his 70th birth- d a y recently at his home, at 14833 Santa Rosa. Arotsky is known to t h e commun- ity as secre- tary of t h e Detroit Auxil- iary, City of Hop e organ- ization, in ad- dition to being a- worker for Arotsky philanthropic endeavors. The celebration was attended by members of the Michigan Home Society. On behalf of the group's membership, greetings were extended by Nathan Pritz and J. H.- Policove, the organ- ization's president and vice- president, respectively. Arotsky was born on Nov. 18, 1887 in Alshan, in the province of Wilna. In 1911 he settled in Detroit. His work in a Maxwell automobile shop was followed by association with the Chrysler Corporation, from which he recently retired. He has been an.. earnest worker for the City of Hope for the past 30 years. He also served on the Jewish Lithuanian campaign. For forty years he has been a member of Michigan Home Protection, an organization. for which he was recording secre- tary for. many years.
