Convention speakers will in- clude Abba S. Eban, Israel Am- bassador to the U.S., and Dr. Kalman J. Mann, director of the Hadassah Medical Organization. Sophomore Heads Wayne State Council A four-session training pro- gram, conducted by the Detroit Section of the National Coun- cil of Jewish Women, with the help of professionals from the Jewish Welfare Federation and other agencies, • will begin on ,Oct. 30. The workshop will be limited to 60 volunteers. The sessions will be held from 12:30 to .3:00 p.m. on for consecutive Wednesdays, at Council House, 8436- W. Mc- Nichols. Dessert luncheon will be served. The first session will explain the Council's community serv- ices. Speakers will include Mrs. Joseph Welt, past president of the National and the Detroit Section of Council, Mrs. Eliza- beth Wilkins Livingstone, di- rector of volunteer services, United Community Services of Detroit and William Avrunin, associate director, Jewish Wel- fare Federation of Detroit. The second session, on Nov. 6, will discuss the role of the volunteer and will include Miss Clarice Freud, professor, school of social work, University of Michigan and Mrs. Julian H.
