At a family dinner, Mr. and
Mrs. Ray R. Fisher, Jr., of Col-
legewood Dr., Ypsilanti, an-
nounced the engagement of their
daughter, Elizabeth Ann, to Rich-
ard Levitt, son • of Mr. and Mrs.
Morton Levitt, of East Lansing.
The bride-to-be is a student at
the University of Michigan, where
she is affiliated with Alpha Ep-
silon Phi sorority. Her fiance,
also a U. of M. student, is a
member of Phi Sigma Delta fra-
ternity.
The couple plans to wed in
June.

The first musical extravaganza
sponsored by the Detroit Chap-
ter, Brandeis University's Wo-
-men's Committee will be pres-
ented on Oct. 16 at Temple
Israel. The production, called
"Belles Are Ringing," was writ-
ten expressly for the National
Women's Committee by the crea-
tive arts department of the Uni-
versity. Mrs. Charles Briskman
and Mrs. Charles Nannes are co-
chairman of the affair.
Mrs. Eli Gross is directing the
production. She' is assisted by
Mrs. Herschel Harris on choreo-
graphy and Mesdames Harry

The Women's Committee ob-
tains its funds toward its main
function, support of the Univer-
sity Library, solely through mem-
berships and book -fund gifts. A
$100 special collections fund ,has
been newly devised to establish
certain book collections. The
special volumes will be compiled
in the subject matter of Uni-
versity curriculums or research
projects. Among the ,specific
fields are music, drama, poetry,
literature, philosophy, mathemat-
ics,. biophysics, medieval history
and Greek philosophy. Mrs. Nor-
man Levy and Mrs. Jerry Morse
are in charge of the book gifts
fund.
