31 Greeting the First Class President
of the Shapero School of Nursing

Bonn Justifies
Integration of
Former SS Troopers

NATE S. SHAPERO, founder of the Shapero School of
Nursing at Sinai Hospital, congratulates NANCEE SPRANKLE,
president of the first graduating class of the school at recent
commencement exercises. Looking on, left to right, are: Mrs.
RUTH B. EDELSON, principal, and GEORGE M. STUTZ,
president of the Shapero School; MILDRED TUTTLE, direc-
tor of nursing at the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, who was com-
mencement speaker; and MAX OSNO•, president of Sinai
Hospital.

BANN (AJP)—The Adenauer
Government has given full ap-
proval to the acceptance into
the German Army of former
Waffen SS Storm Troopers.
Numbering some 400,000, the
former Nazis are gradually be-
ing integrated into the social
and political structure of West
Germany.
When certain German circles
protested the government's - ac-
tion in welcoming back some of
Hitler's murderers, Adenauer's
aides defended the move by
asserting that the Waffen SS
was not identical with the SS;
in fact, only in name, and that
it was basically a regular Army
unit.

A Symbol of Quality

During the 82 years since the first Sanders store was
established in Detroit, the familiar "Sanders script" has

become a symbol of quality in good-things-to-eat.

There's a friendly feeling about this Sanders signature;
and an element of pride, too, as if it had been written
boldly by a man who had the utmost faith in the things
he made. This Sanders signature has appeared on many
millions of candy, baked goods, and ice cream packages;
on every one it was a guarantee that the contents were
the finest that consummate skill and the highest quality

of ingredients could produce!
