Mrs.
Golda Meir, Israeli Foreign
Minister, said that the Soviet
Union, in its eagerness to pen-
etrate into the Middle East,
would not hesitate to harm Is-
rael to achieve that goal.
Speaking at a closed meeting
of the Reserve Air Force Offi-
cers Association, Mrs. Meir also
warned that the Eisenhower
Administration policy, based
on "good Arabs" like King
Saud of Saudi Arabia and King
Hussein of Jordan, might bring
American reconsideration of
present support of free and in-
nocent navigation rights in the
Suez Canal for all nations.
She said that despite hesita-
tions of Prime Minister Nehru
of India about establishment
of diplomatic relations between
his country and Israel, the pol-
icy of the Israeli government
remains one of seeking rap-
prochement between the Jew-
ish State and the Afro-Asian
countries.

negotiations, the delegation said
it is urging the Austrian gov-
ernment to fulfill speedily and
effectively its obligations to
Nazi victims undertaken in the
1955 State Treaty b et w e en
Austria and the former occupy-
ing powers—U.S., Great Brit-
ain, France and the Soviet
Union. The Jewish leaders em-
phasized that "thousands of
Jewish victims of Nazi perse-
cution, particularly those who
were driven out of Austria 20
years ago still await some
measure of compensation for
the losses they suffered." They
stressed that many of the vic-
tims were now aged and in
dire financial circumstances.
Legislation so far enacted
by Austria, the delegation
contended, "provides only
limited restitution of trace-
able property and a very
modest compensation for im-
prisonment and personal _in-
jury."
The delegation reminded
that in the more than two
years that have elapsed since
the signing of the State Treaty,
the Austrian government has
failed to take measures to meet
the commitments undertaken in
the Treaty to return all prop
erty and restore all rights and
interests-which were subject to
