5c. CENTRAL AND SOUTH AMERICA: 124 Papers

During the last few years the number of Jewish papers
(dailies, weeklies, fortnightlies, monthlies, etc.) has increased
by a few dozen and at the beginning of the year 5718 the total
was' 1,144, of which 816• (53.85%) appear in the Diaspora, and in
Israel 528 (46.15%).

The Jewish papers are distributed as follows:
