Israel Trade Totals Show
Decreased Imports by U.S.
NEW YORK, (JTA)—Ameri-:
can-Israel trade totalled $34,-
991,500 in the first three months
of 1957, an increase of more
than 10 percent over the parallel
period in 1956, the American-
Israel Chamber of Commerce
reported.
U.S. exports to. Israel totalled
$30,300,000, as compared with
$26,130,000 in the first three
months of the previous year.
American imports from Israel
totalled $4,700,000, as,. compared
with. $5,300,000 in the same ,
period in 1956. The decrease inl
imports from Israel was almost
entirely due to a decrease in
the imports of cut and polished
diamonds.
