Conservative Sisterhoods Plan Two-Day Seminar
Marriages
Two prominent leaders of the
National Women's League of
Conservative Sisterhoods will
address a two-day seminar of
the Detroit Area Sisterhoods, on
Oct. 28 and 29, at Ahavas Achim
Synagogue, according to Mrs.
Joseph M. Markel, president of
the Detroit area sisterhoods and
coordinator for the Michigan
Branch-in-Training of the Na-
tional Women's League, United
Synagogue of America.
The guest speakers will be
Mrs. Baruch I. Trieger, field
work director of the National
Women's League, and Mrs. Mor-
ris J. Saipe, president of the
NWL Central Branch. All Con-
servative sisterhoods in Michi-
gan will be invited to attend
the seminar.
Highlight of the sessions will
be a formal induction of the
state's Conservative sisterhoods
into branch-in-training status.
The ceremonies will be con-
ducted by Mrs. Trieger, who
also will outline organizational,
administrative service and ori-
entation procedures.
Detroit area Sisterhood presi-
dents and wives of Detroit rab-
bis who will serve on the semi-
nar steering committee include:
Mesdames Norman Allen and
Jacob E. Segal, Adas Shalom;
Joseph Glicker and Jacob Chi-
nitz, Ahavas Achim; Jack
