- Break Ground Sunday for Sheruth Village BB Women Set $100,000 Goal A goal of $100,000 has been set by the Greater Detroit Bnai Brith Women's Council for its 11th annual fund-raising drive, it was announced this week by Mrs. Sidney Eidelman, chair- man. At the right is the Sheruth Lodge, already completed, while at the left are three of the six cabins to be erected and for which ground-breaking ceremonies will take place at 3 p.m., this Sunday, at the Holly camp site. Sheruth League began the project 13 years ago by entering into an agreement with the Jewish Welfare Federation and Fresh Air Society. The 250-member women's or- ganization, headed this year by Mrs. Max Chomsky, has set aside half of its fund- raising each year since 1944 as a trust fund to provide additional recreational facilities for community youngsters. This year's fund drive will be a Masque Ball, to be held Nov. 2, at the Statler Hotel. Chairman of the event is Mrs. Maurice Fried. The village will be completed in time for the 1958 camp season.
