Bros. has selected Scaroon
Manor, Schroon Lake, N. Y., as
the location site for- the filming
of "Marjorie Morningstar," Her
man Wouk's best-selling novel.
Arrangements for the location
filming, which gets under way
Aug. 19, for approximately one
month of shooting. were made
by Joseph Friebets Scaroon
Manor's managing director, and
Warner Bros. producer Milton
Sperling and director Irving
Rapper.
The producer and director
will lead a cast and production
crew of 110 persons from Holly-
wood to the 450-acre Adiron-
dack Mountain summer resort.
Included in the cast on loca-
tion at Scaroon Manor will be
Natalie Wood, who will star in
the title role of the Warner-
Color film: Gene Kelly, who
will co-star as Noel Airman: Ed
Wynn. Carolyn Jones. Claire
Trevor. Lee J. Cobb and Martin
Balsam.
Scaroon Manor was selected
because the Warner Bros rep-
resentatives called it "the most
beautiful spot we have seen in
all our travels. -
