via El Al Israel Airlines for a six-week, all-expense, study-vaca-
tion trip to Israel as one of 12 winners of the David Petegorsky
Scholarship Awards to college studetts. Sidney, a University
of Michigan student, was joined by Linda A. White, of Long Island
N.Y., another U. of M. student.
Dr. and- Mrs. Shmarya Kleinman and family are now residing

Mr. Bernard Jerome Berg, a recent law graduate of Wayne
State University who passed the State Bar examination last April
was honored at an open hOuse reception at his home, 18508 Pine-
hurst, June 30. Mr. Berg is affiliated with Tau Epsilon Rho legal
fraternity and Omicron Delta Kappa, national leadership society.

Alexander Licht, of 2916 Leslie,
will join the noted Detroit busi-
nessman when he celebrates his
70th birthday on July 31.
Operator of an infants' and

also represents various clothing
lines throughout the state.
Coming to this country in
1908 from his native country,
Hungary, Mr. Licht became a
Detroiter in 1916, moving here
from New York. In 1920, he
married Bertha Krauss, the sis-
ter of Morris Krauss, who will
celebrate his 80th birthday on
the same day.
A member of several chari-
table organizations, - Mr. Licht
is affiliated with Cong. Bnai
Moshe. His entire family was
wiped out during the Nazi oc-
cupation with the exception of
one member whom he recently
helped bring here from Hun-
gary.
He is the father of two sons,
Gerald and Norman.
