Rosin Attends NCRAC
Immigration Meetings
David I. Rosin, chairman of
the Jewish Community Coun-
cil subcommittee on immigra-
tion, attended a special meeting
called by the National Commu-
nity Relations Advisory Coun-
cil in New York City this week
on present immigration liberali-
zaticin bills in Congress.
Rosin, president of the Reset-
tlement Service, took part in
discussions by representatives
of national Jewish community
relations agencies and local
Community Councils affiliated
with the NCRAC.
The conference adopted as a
statement of policy continued
support for fundamental
changes in the United States
immigration laws. However, the
Kennedy Bill, which would pro-
vide for the - possible admission
to the United States of Egyp-
tian Jewish refugees, received
the NCRAC endorsement
"purely on humanitarian
grounds."
The decisions of the special
Conference on Immigration Leg-
islation by the NCRAC will be
released for the guidance of
Jewish community relations
agencies.
