The garden of Mr. and Mrs.
Irving F. Burton, in Huntington
Woods, was the setting for the
wedding ceremony, Sunday, of
Elaine Adrienne Hyman and
Edwin Charles Neback. The
bride's parents are the Jack
Hymans, of Oak Park. The
bridegroom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Maurice Neback.
The bride's gown of ivory
silk chiffon was detailed with
a yoke of chiffon pleats. Fine
pleats of chiffon were echoed
in the lower portion of the
skirt. The midsection of Chan-
tilly lace featured a Grecian

sion veil was fastened to a deli-
cately scrolled seed pearl crown.
Mrs. Irving F. Burton, the
bride's sister, was matron of
honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs.
Sherman Kay, sister of the
bridegroom, and Mrs. T. I.
Cooper, the bride's aunt. Bon-
nie and Carol Burton were jun-
ior bridesmaids.
Dr. Sherman Kay, the bride-
groom's brother-in-law, served
as best man. Dr. Irving F. Bur-
ton, the bride's brother-in-law,
and her uncle, T. I. Cooper, of
Birmingham, along with the
bridegroom's cousins, William
Ellmann and Marvin Frenkel,
acted as ushers. Stephen Bur-
ton, the bride's nephew, was
junior usher.
The ceremony was followed
by buffet dinner, after• which
the couple left for a' honey-
moon in Montego Beach,
Jamaica.

the Harvard School of Busi-
ness Administration after com-
pleting studies at the University
of Michigan, where he was a
member of Pi Lambda Phi fra-
ternity.

At a family dinner party last
Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. George
G. Koven, of 2925 Oakman Ct.,
announced the engagement of
their daughter, Arlyne F., to
James A. Direnfeld, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Morris Direnfeld, of
18028 San Juan.
The bride - elect • attended,
Wayne State University, where
she is a student in special edu-
cation and a past president of
Iota Alpha Pi sorority. She also
is a past president of the Bnai
Brith Hillel Foundation at
WSU.
Mr. Direnfeld, who attended
Southern Methodist University
in Texas and WSU, is a vice-
president of the Bnai Brith
Young Adult Council.
