Sharon Helene Morrison and
Jack Donald Serling were united
in marriage in recent cere-
monies at Adas Shalom Syna-
gogue. Rabbi Jacob Segal offici-
ated at the double-ring rites,
held May 19.

Parents of the newlyweds are
the Harold Morrisons, kof Ohio
Ave., and Mr. and Mrs. Reuben
Serling, of Greenlawn Ave.
The bride wore a princess-line
gown of white silk. Its round
neckline was complemented by
short sleeves of hand corded
lace appliqued with pearls.
Panels of lace and motifs of
pearls embellished. the floor
length skirt which fell into a
chapel train.- Her veil was a
crown of pearls supporting two
tiers of fingertip-length white
silk illusion.
Mrs. Leon Serling was matron
of honor. Linda Aronoff, Mar-
lene Newman, Geraldine Tapper
and Arlene Nachman were.
bridesmaids. Grace and Barbara
Metz served as- junior brides-
maids.
The bridegroom was attended
by, brother, Leon Serling.
Arur M
_ orrison, Larry Brauer,
Myron Homer and Murray
Spillman acted as ushers. Lyle
and Robert. Parr, John Pappas
and Ronald Baron seated the
guests. .
Following their honeymoon
trip, Mr. and • Mrs. Serling will
reside in Washington, D. C.

fare, held in Philadelphia last
week, included MRS. M.
CRANEFIELD, of the school of
social work, University of Mich-
igan.. At the conference, a group
of university deans and heads
of national „social agencies
praised the contribution of Jew-
ish foreign students in America.

films, "Suez Canal" and "Com-
mencement," the - latter dealing
with racial and religious dis-
crimination in employment, at
7:30 p.m., Monday, in the Park-

tion of Mozart's "THE MAR-
RIAGE OF FIGARO" by the
Wayne State University Opera
Workshop will be presented by
the University Theater June 7
and 8, at the University
Theater, 3424 Woodward. The
cast includes Shirley Love. and

at the organization's installa-
tion ceremonies, Monday eve-
ning.

gional director of the City of
Hope, include Mesdames
Abe Eizelman, Morris Moss,
Sidney Deitch and Elliott Schu-
biner, . vice-presidents; Harold
Lupiloff, Alex Gaynor, Sidney
Kirman and Al Diamond, sec-
retaries; Max Levy, treasurer;
Earl Shipper, sentinel; and Stan-
ley Oschin, chairman of the
board.
Refreshments and d _ ancing to
the music of the Counts is
slated for the evening. Husbands
of members are invited, accord-
ing to Goldie Young, installation
chairman.
The organization will hold a
.board meeting at 12:30 p.m.,
Monday, at Holiday Manor.
Hostesses will be Goldie Young,
Billie Welch, Freda Stillwater,
Helen Rosenberg, Judy Allo-
witz and Irene Berger.

A 'semi-formal dance will be
sponsored by Junior Hadassah
at 9 p.m., Saturday, at Bel-Air
Terrace. Frank Sidney and his
orchestra will render music for
dancing. Refreshments will be
served.

Detroit Council of Pioneer Wo-
men is planned for Monday, in
the Labor Zionist Institute,
19161 Schaefer.
The conference will open at
10:30 a.m., with greetings by
Mrs. Irving Turner, Council
president. Mrs. Harry Mondry
is chairman. Following lunch-
eon at 12 noon, Mrs. Norman
Kanter will chair a session de-
voted to organizational prob-
lems.
Projects of the organization,
including Moatzot Hap o alot,
Histadrut, Jewish National Fund
and Child Day, will be discussed
at the •2:30 p.m. afternoon ses-
sion.
Following a break for dinner,
the program will be resume at
