- THE DETROIT I It I 1 During some pOrtion of the evening, either Monday or Tues- day, Bnai Brith of Detroit will honor the man or woman who contributes the 7,500th pint of blood since the inception of 'the BB Blood Bank in 1950. The total amount represents one of the finest records of any service group in the United States. Not only have Bnai Brith members contributed this amount, but through the facil- ities of these blood bank rallies, fraternal, labor, church and Synagogue groups have contrib- uted to their organizations' blood bank. While the major emphasis has been to its own 16,000 local members, hundreds of pints of Bnai Brith blood have been sent to the armed forces and others used for research needs. During the seven years of the blood bank, Bnai Brith women have formed an auxiliary corps, which performs non-profession- al duties at the rallies, such as registrations, serving snacks and preparing bottles for deliv- ery i: to Red Cross headquarters. The rally at which the 7,500th donor will give his blood will be held Monday, at Beth Aaron Synagogue, and Tuesday, at Clinton School, Parklawn, south of 9 Mile, Oak Park. The . individual selected will receive numerous merchandiSe awards and a citation on a local television program., Rrtit Jr. Hadassah to Install Officers at Luncheon Junior Hadassah will hold its annual donor luncheon at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, at Mayfair Cater-, ing, 191.61 Schaefer, according to Dorothy Krupp, newly-elect- ed club president.
