Bnai Brith Schedules
District Parley, June 29

District Grand Lodge No. 6
of Bnai Brith will hold its 89th
annual convention at Chicago's
Morrison Hotel, June 29 to
July 2, it was announced this
week by Albert P. Mitnick, Dis-
trict president from Chicago.
At the same time, Mrs. Ger-
ald Goldberg, of Detroit, pres-
ident of the Women's District
Grand Lodge, stated that the
women will hold their 25th an-
nual convention simultaneously.

Cancer Fighters
Plan 'Taff Day'

City of Hope Cancer Fighters
will conduct an all-day "Tag
Day" program on Monday,
throughout the city, for the
benefit of the City of Hope, na-
tional, free and non-sectarian
medical center in Duarte, Calif.
A proclamation honoring the
Cancer Fighters and specifying
Tag Day was signed this week
by Acting Mayor Louis C.
Miriani. The City of Hope's
program of treatment, research
and medical education covers
five catastrophic diseases: can-
cer, leukemia, heart disease,
tuberculosis and blood diseases.
Now in its 43rd year, City of
Hope is recognized as a. lead- -
ing medical center. in the coun-
try. Women interested in par-
ticipating in the drive may
pick up cannisters from 8 a.m.
to 6 p.m., Monday, at 18410
