President of the League. She

named a Fellow of Brandeis
University, it was announced
by Frank L. Weil, of New York,
chairman of the. University Fel-
lows.
Harry Starr, president and
treasurer of the Lucius N. Lit-
tauer Foundation, New York,
also was named a Fellow of
the university.
A member of the New York
Bar, Harlan received his LL.B.
from Harvard University where
he also received his A.B. degree
and was a member of Phi Beta
Kappa.
Fellows are selected from
men and women, distinguished
in the arts and sciences and
business and professional life,
who have• manifested an active
interest in Brandeis University.
Harlan spearheaded the under
writing . of the John Marshall
Harlan Protestant Chapel, .one
of three chapels on the univer-
sity campus for , students of the
Jewish, Protestant and Catholic
faiths. The chapel was named
in memory of former Supreme
Court Justice John Marshall
Harlan, a predecessor - of Su-
preme Court Justice Louis Dem-
bitz Brandeis, whose name the
University bears..
A descendant of Justice Har-
lan, Mr. Harlan also is a kins-
man of the Justice's grandson,
John Marshall Harlan, now ser-
ving on the Supreme Court
