Crom- melin. He was quoted as at- tributing to George Washington a statement that "the Jews work more effectively against us than does the enemy." Those who objected to his remarks were members of the Pensacola, Flor- ida, chapter of the organization. Commenting on such inci- dents, DAR President General Mrs. Frederic A.- Groves warned DAR members to "be careful" about the things they say.
