Exhibits in N.Y.C. 1rindsor Law Student
A former Cass TechniCal High
School student this week re-
ceived recognition in national
art circles when his paintings
were mentioned in the April
issue of Art News.
He is Harvey Steingold, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Steingold,
of 24659 Rensselaer, Oak Park.
The young painter's works were
noted in the art magazine in
connection with the group show,
"Experimentation," now at the
Studio Gallery, New York.
Steingold has been studying
for the last two years at Cooper
Union School of Science and
Art, where he was accepted
after competitive examinations
with thousands of applicants.
Gena Ritchie Monahan, artist-
director of the Studio Gallery
considers. Steingold one of the-
most promising of her regular
exhibitors. In the present exhi-
bition, Steinbold has two large
paintings and two lithographs.
Before being admitted to
Cooper Union, Steingold served
