A committee of prominent
communal leaders and rabbis of
all denominations, headed by
Dr. Israel Goldstein and Philip
M. Klutznick, honorary chair-
men, has strongly urged Amer-
ican Jewry to make wide use
of a special ."Ritual of Remem-
brance" at forthcoming Pass-
over sedorim. The "R i t u a 1,"
newly-published in a form that
can be easily inserted into the
passoVer Haggadah, commemo-
rates the six million Jews who
perished at the hands of the
Nazis, as well as the heroes of
the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

The "Ritual" was written by
the distinguished Jewish his-
torian and author, R u f us
Learsi. Presented in both Eng-
lish and Hebrew, the "Ritual"
is - intended to be 'performed
after the third of the Four
Ceremonial Cups, just before
the door' is opened for the sym-
bolic entrance of the Prophet
Elijah. The "Ritual" closes with
the singing of the stirring song,
"A ni Ma am in" (I Believe),
which was sung by the Jews
in the ghettos and the con-
centration camps. B o t h t h e

words and music of the song
are included in the printed
text.
The"Seder Ritual of Remem-
brance" is available at a cost
of $4 per hundred. Single
copies are available at five
cents each. Persons wishing to
order the brochure may write
to the Seder Ritual Committee,
16 85th St., New York 28, en-
closing payment. Copies will be
mailed in time for Passover.

NATURAL thing to do!

WASHINGTON, (JTA)—The
State Department policy on
travel to Israel remains as
stated last October when travel
to the Jewish State and its bor-
dering Arab neighbors was
banned to "non-essential"
American citizens. The resump-
tion of travel to Israel is de-
pendent upon the return of
"normal security conditions"
which do not exist presently,
State Department officials said
this week.

The Sefer Bar Mitzvah has
now been opened to girls for
inscription as Bas Mitzvah.

the theme of the anniversary
observance is "The Pursuit of
Equality at Home and Aboard,"
and that it will s.t r e s s "the
principle of equality—and the
freedom it bespeaks—has had
the greatest impetus during the
past half century."
The American Jewish Coin-
mittee, which was founded in
the wake of the Kishinev po-
groms in 1906, is the oldest
American organization combat-
ing bigotry, protecting the civil
and religious rights of Jews
and advancing the cause of
freedom.
