Announcement is made of the
engagement of Sharon Joan
Weinberg by her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Leonard Weinberg, of
Freeland Ave., to Arnold Mor-
ton Gold, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Gold, of Hartwell Ave.
Miss Weinberg is a junior in
Wayne State University's col-
lege of education, and is af-
filiated iivith Delta Phi Epsilon
sorority. Mr. Gold, a graduate
of the WSU law school, is affi-
liated with • Tau Epsilon Rho
legal fraternity. He is a captain
in the Air Force Reserve.

Ke-Yu-Ma Registrar

Shimon L. Berris has been ap-
pointed registrar of Camp Ke-
Yu-Ma for the coming summer
season, it was announced this
week by camp director, Bernard
Jaffe.
In addition to his duties as
registrar, Berris will direct spe-
cial weekend camping programs.
Berris is cur-
rently meeting
with t h e par-
ents of pros-
pective cam p-
ers to explain
the advantages
of camping at
Ke-Yu-Ma.
The camp,
located 60

miles from De-
troit, in the Waterloo Recreation
Area, near Jackson, has water
sports, athletics, horseback rid-
ing, arts and crafts and dra-
matics among its supervised ac-
tivities. Along with a complete-
ly Jewish atmosphere, the camp
maintains experienced counsel-
lbrs, a registered nurse and at-
tending physician.

Local Artist to Address
Northwest Chapter, AJC

Robert Broner, well - known
artist, will be the principal
speaker at a meeting of the
Northwest Chapter of American
Jewish Congress, at 12:45 p.m.,
Wednesday, at the home of Mrs.
Paul Chover, 18420 Pennington.
His subject will be "Modern
Jewish Artists."
Mr. Broner will illustrate his
talk with photographs of his
own works as well as those by
other significant Jewish artists.
Broner received his MA de-
gree from Wayne State Univer-
sity and supplemented his study
at the art school of the Detroit
Society of Arts and Crafts. He
joined S. W. Hayter's "Atelier
17," a. famous graphics work-
shop, in 1950.
Mrs. Melvin Nord is North-
west chapter president. Mrs.
Leopold Snyder is program
chairman.
