Buriim, New York businessman and religious lead- er, will be guest of honor at the joint banquet planned by Young Israel Centers of Northwest De- troit and Oak-Woods for March 31, at the Latin Quarter. A graduate of the Rabbi Jacob Joseph School in New York, Bunim is now president of the institution. He also is a lead- ing figure in the work of the Beth Midrash Gohova, of Lakewood, N.J., led by Rabbi Aaron Kottle• At present a vice - president of the 'National Council of Young Israel, Bunim Bunim was among the founders of the movement and has been active in its deliberations for over two decades. He made frequent appeals during World War II in behalf of Jewish survivors of Nazism, and helped to save thousands of Jews from the European holocaust.
