But, these, ac- cording to Jay Frankel and Vic- tor Martin,. co-chairman of the benefit performance, are going rapidly. Speaking frankly, Benjamin Goldstein, president of the synagogue, formerly the Sub- urban Temple, said that the rates w, .re raised on tickets in all cat, gories because of the need for funds to complete the temple structure. The temple, with a member- ship of 450 families, moved to its own 'building at 14550 W. 10 Mile Rd. only last September for the High Holy Day services, Goldstein explained. Actually, the building - wasn't completed then, and it still has a long way to go," he said. "This benefit performance is being given as the first in a series of fund-raising programs to raise $50,000 for furnishing the build- ing." Goldstein explained that in addition to pews, which are still to be added, the temple needs a permanent ark, lobby furni- ture, some landscaping and art work on the facade of the struc- ture. Goldstein said that the en- tire fund .- raising drive was geared, for the coming High Holiday season, when it was hoped the temple would be completely ready for holiday "services and for _dedication. So, if you're stuck for a ticket for . "My Fair Lady" and also want to aid in the progresS of a beautiful building, write, stop at or call Temple Emanu-El, 14550 W. 10 Mile, LI. 7-5015. Suburban Boys Club Starts Building Drive A fund-raising drive has been launched by businessmen and civic leaders in the area of Au- burn Heights to raise $150,000 for a new building to house the Auburn Heights Boys Club. The club was formed two years ago to stem the tide of an increasing rate of juvenile delinquency in the area, which is between Pontiac and the South Oakland County' suburbs. Meeting in the American Le- g i o n building i n Auburn Heights, the club quickly began accomplishing its purpose. Its popularity has grown, however, and facilities are needed for 300 boys, who now attend 45 at a time on a rotating ,basis. To date, over $30,000 has been raised toward the boys club building. The club is affiliated with the Boys Club of America. Contributions may be mailed to Boys Club of Auburn Heights, 1925 W. Auburn, Auburn Heights, Mich. SINGER'S KOSHER MEAT and POULTRY J. SINGER • P.
