A
MISS JOANNE SCHERR
Mr. and Mrs. David Scherr, of
Courtland Ave., Oak Park, an-.
nounce the engagement of their
daughter, Joanne Eunice, to
Lawrence Feiler, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Jess Feller,- of Marlow
Ave., Oak Park.
The bridegroom-elect attends
Michigan State University.
Suzanne Bloch
to Perform Here
_
The unique artistry of Suz-
anne Bloch, daughter of com-
poser Ernest Bloch, will be dis-
played at the 8:30 p.m. Satur-
day Art Founder's Society con-
cert in the Detroit Art Institute
lecture hall.
In a program of European
m e d i e v a 1, Renaissance and
baroque music, Miss Bloch will
exhibit virtuosity on the lute,
virginal and recorder. In addi-
tion to vocally accompanying
the stringed instrument, she
will deliver personal commen-
taries on each selection.
Miss Bloch's resurrection of
the "lost. art" of lute playing
was preceded by training as a
pianist. At 19, she won first
prize in a Paris contest for
women composers. Her most
recent accomplishments include
New York recitals of her own
lute songs, set to verses from
"Alice in Wonderland."
At her Detroit appearance
three years ago, 200 people were
turned away from the over-
flowing lecture hall. However,
because of acoustical needs for
such a concert, the performance
was scheduled again at this
location.
Saturday's program will in-
clude lute selections by Bach
and Montpellier, recorder music
by Handel and virginal works
by Thomas Morley and Claude
Daquin.

LET GREENFIELDS
TELL YOU WHERE
THE YELLOW WENT
Did you know that the eggs
that chickens lay in the winter
time have pale yolks? It's a
fact, and GREENFIELD& can't
quarrel with the chickens. And
since GREENFIELDS would
never add any artificial color-
ing in their noodle products,
their noodles have lately been
on the pale side.
Now the chickens are becom-
ing more cooperative . . . Nice
chickens . . and GREEN-
FIELDS will soon regain their
rich golden yellow color for
which their noodle products are
known.
But let us reassure you that,
regardless of color, the generous
amount of egg yolk — much
more than government require-
ments — is always present in
our GREENFIELD NOODLE
PRODUCTS. We guarantee that
we always maintain the same
high standard of quality, fresh-
ness, and home made flavor for
which our products are known.
