Harry Hirsch, of Belmar, N. J.

national president, Mrs. Bertha
Samuels, will be a guest at a
tenth annual Goodwill Lunch-
eon, 12:30 p.m., March 20, at
the JWV Memorial Home, 4095
West Davison. Representatives
of over 50 veterans and civic
oganizations will be invited to
the event, according to Bernice
Ross, department publicity
chairman.
A tour of the memorial build-
ing will be conducted for the
luncheon guests, aided by Mrs.
Morton Oppenheim, senior vice-
president, and Mrs. Oscar Katz,
entertainment committee chair-
man.
Mrs. Samuels has distin-
guished herself in numerous
phases of community activities
in Cleveland, 0., where she
makes her home. Before her
appearance at the luncheon, she
will attend a Michigan depart-.
went meeting. The following
evening she will be honored at
a dinner at Jeri's. On the morn-
ing of March 20, she will pre-
sent a radio address. The lunch-
eon, unique to the Michigan de-
partment, will be the culmina-
tion of her visit in Detroit.

Sonata Recital, March 13

A sonata recital, featuring
pianist Julius Chajes and violin-
ist Mischa Mischakoff, will be
featured at a meeting of the
Music Study Club at 8:30 p.m.,

will feature Sonata in A Minor,
