Young Israel Pledges $5,000 for Israel Rabbinate Building

Local Democrats Chide 'Extremes' of Saud's Visit

The 15th Democratic Con-
gressional District, at a meet-
ing held last week, 'condemned'
President Eisenhower for going
to extremes in paying cour-
tesies to King Saud and com-
mended Mayor Wagner of New
York for his actions. -
Louis J. McGuinness presided
at the meeting at 'which the
following resolution, which was
sent to the President, members
of. Congress and Democratic
leaders, was adopted:
"Whereas: the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia is the only
Country in the world outside Of
the iron curtain -Where the •in-_
stitution of slavery exists. King
Saud protects this slavery, pro-
fits from it, and gets millions in
annual royalties from American
oil companies, which he uses
entirely for his own comfort
and prestige. The vast majortiy
of his subjects live in poverty

where on earth. He is the sworn
enemy of the State of Israel
and all . Jews, and enforces dis-
crimination against other re-
ligions. He dictates and severely
limits which foreign citizens
shall be. permitted to enter
Saudi Arabia and what they
