Mrs. Stollman Becomes Bond Trustee! Alpha Zeta Omega Raises $1,000 for Israel Phar macy College Over $1,000 was raised by Alpha Zeta Omega, local phar- maceutical alumni fraternity, at a dinner last week at Club Manhattan. The event kicked off the local phase of a national drive by fraternity members to raise $100,000, for a college of phar- macy at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. - Jack Robinson, president of the alumni group,. said that a number of events and indi- vidual solicitation are planned during the next three years to raise the sum necessary to build the college. _ He said that the average age of the Israeli pharmacist today is 59, indicating the desperate need for young, trained phar- macists in the next few years A college of pharmacy, which had been created at the Jeru- salem school, has been aban- doned of necessity because of its inaccessibility in Jordan- occupied territory. Small classes are now taught in makeshift buildings. Nathan and Ada Moiseev were dinner chairmen, and Manuel Katzman was honored for being the high fund-raiser. At a program in late January members of the Auxiliary raised a substantial sum to- wards the project. Members of active chapters on college cam- puses in the, area also are par- ticipating in the 'campaign. r •POOMP•01111 ■ 0111 ■0■ 110 ■ 111 ■ 04 ■ 04=11•INIIIIIF001111•4)011111.01 `For the PERFECT AFFAIR MICKEY WOOLF and His Orchestra UN 3-3737 \ .1.0111•••01111 ■0■ 111100 ■0■ 01!0 ■ 0•MCI ■ 474=t0i You'll always EAT THE BEST When You SERVE THE BEST! ,44 Complete Mrs. MAX STOLLMAN (right) holds a checks for $10,000 which she is presenting to MARILYN -CANTOR, daughter of comedian Eddie Cantor, who was here to speak on behalf of Israel Bonds.
