Purnell and Marvin J. Katz was
recently announced at a family
dinner party.
Miss Purnell, the daughter of
Mrs. B. Purnell, of Bloomfield
Township, and the late Mr. Ben-
jamin Purnell, is a senior stu-
dent at the Harper Hospital
school of nursing.
Mr. Katz is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Saul Katz, of Fairfield Ave.
A June wedding is planned.

signed, sized, and new work

Mr. Davis, math teacher, is
asking the students for sup-
port in organizing a Math Club,
which would do such things as
teach short-cuts, etc. Anyone
interested is asked to attend
their meetings.
The Councilettes will hold
their next meeting this Sunday
at 2 at the New Council House
where a discussion on "Broth-
erhood" will be featured by a
Wayne State University panel.
The Mercury has been sell-
ing subscriptions for the corn-
ing term, and the bonus stub,
which is included in the sub-
scription, will serve as a ticket
to see "The Detective" with
Alec Guinnes.
