Three Local Cantors
to Join Voices to Aid
New York Institution

Three of- this city's noted can-
tors will blend their voices at a
concert to benefit the Cantor's
Insitute in New York at 8 p.m.,
Feb. 24, in the main sanctuary
of Adas Shalom Synagogue.
Cantors Hyman Adler, of Bnai
David, and Reuven Frankel, of
Cong. Shaarey Zedek, will join
Cantor Nicholas Fenakel, of the
host Adas Shalom Synagogue, to
provide funds for the Jewish
Theological Seminary's college
Of Jewish music.
They will sing solo numbers
and join in duets, offering a
program of liturgical, Israeli
and Yiddish music.
Cantor Fenakel, who is direct-
ing the musicale, also has ar-
ranged for the appearance of
the Talismen Quartet, directed
by Harry Siegel; Betty Kowal-
sky, local concert pianist; and
Geraldine 'Posen Schwartz, so-
prano.
