Friday, February 1, 1957 More Than 20% of Egyptian Jewry 'Safe from Egypt Reaches Europe; Migration Continues in a New Home ATHENS, (JTA)—The total of Egyptian Jewish refugees ar- riving in Europe since Novem- ber reached 10,025 representing more than 20 percent of the total Egyptian Jewish popula- tion, according to Charles H. Jordan, Joint Distribution Com- mittee general director. The refugees will be cared for while in Athens by the Council of Greek Jewish corn- munities. Passage and other help is being provided by the United Hias Service for those choosing to go to other coun- tries than Israel.
