Directors' Council's Conference for Teachers Scheduled for Sunday A panel discussion and sem- inar sessions will highlight the inar annual Religious School Teach- ers' Conference, which begins with a luncheon session at 1:15 p.m., Sunday, at Beth Abraham Synagogue. The conference, sponsored by the Directors' Council of the Jewish Religious Schools of Metropolitan Detroit, has as its theme "Holidays and Prayers— Contents and Teaching Meth- ods." Bernard Panush, chairman of the Directors' Council will ex- tend greetings at the luncheon session. Rabbi Israel I. Halpern will give the invocation, and Cantor Reuven Frankel will chant the Birkat Hamazon. "Educational Objectives in the Teaching of Holidays and Reli- gious Practices" is the subject of the panel discussion, for which Leon Lucas, conference chairman, will preside.
