Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Markel and son, Sidney, of Oak Park,
Mich., left by plane. from New York recently for Buenos Aires,
Argentina. While there, the Markels will visit with Mr. Markel's
brother and his family and attend an engagement celebration
being given for their niece. They will return home around the
middle of February.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Katz and Mr. Irving Markel, of Oak
Park, have returned from a visit in New York, where they at-
tended the wedding of a cousin and wished bon voyage to their
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Markel, on their trip to Buenos
Aires.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Greenberg, of 23060 Kipling, Oak Park,
celebrated their 20th, wedding anniversary at a family dinner
party on Jan. 1. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Siegal and
sons, Melvin and Benjamin and the latter's fiancee, Ethel Baker,
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Siegal, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kovalsky,
Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Kovalsky, Mr. and Mrs. Max Paul Steinway
and Mr. and Mrs. David Dwoskin.
Mr. and Mrs. Emil Spilmanand family, formerly of Fullerton
Ave., are now residing in their new home at 18248 Stratford,
Southfield Township.
Pvt. Neil Rosen, after completing a two-week furlough from
the U.S. Army with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Rosen,
of W. Outer Dr., is now en route to St. Louis, Mo., where he will
attend the Army's Medical Optical School. Pvt. Rosen is affiliated
with Phi Sigma Delta fraternity at the University of Detroit.
Mr. and Mrs. David Cooperman and daughter, Frances, of
20020 St. Marys, have returned from a visit to their daughter
and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. Walter Jonas (Carole Cooper-
man), former Detroiters now of Floral Park, Long Island, N.Y.
While Miss Frances Cooperman was in New York, she took coach-
ing lessons with Warner S. Bass and Jacques De Mensace, the
latter presenting her with some music that he wrote.
Mrs. Louis Elliman, of the Belcrest Hotel, will be the guest
Of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, Beverly Hills,- Calif., for the
winter months.

Miss Janet Jackson, of 13205 Monica, spent the New Year's
weekend in New York as the house guest of Mr. and Mrs. Isidore
Schiller, of Flushing, Long Island, the parents of her fiance,
Mr. Arnold Schiller. While there, she attended the wedding of
Dorothy Luckner to Emanuel Goldman.
Gathering recently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David
Schoichet, of 18989 Snowden, the family celebrated several
events: the 15th wedding anniversary of their daughter and
son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Greenberg; Mr. Schoichet's birth-
day; and the 30th wedding anniversary of Mrs. Schoichet's sister
and brother-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Max Gordon.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Belinsky will be hosts , to members
and friends of Kinneret Chapter, Pioneer Women, at a dinner
party slated for 6 p.m., Sunday, at 22031 Marlow, Oak Park.

Leonard Fidler, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Herman Fidler, of Cherry-
lawn Ave. Rabbi Morris Adler
officiated at the ceremony.
The bride selected a gown of
white silk peau de soie with a
portrait neckline and a prin-
cess-line bodice appliqued in
hand-corded Alencon lace. Gar-
lands of the lace were appliqued
on the skirt of the floor-length
gown, which extended into a
chapel train.
Her veil of white silk illusion
fell in two tiers to her finger-
tips, and Was attached to a
crown of matching lace. She
carried a Bible with white
orchids, phaelanopsis and a
touch of ivy.
Mrs. Norman Newman, the
bride's sister, was her matron
of honor, and bridesmaids were
her sister-in-law, Mrs. George
Chodoroff, Mrs. Harry Posar,
sister of the bridegroom, Judie
Solomon, Elaine Gilbert, Rebec-
ca Gilbert, Rebecca Chodoroff,
Lynn Kady and Marcia Krupp.
Wendy Chodoroff, the bride's
niece, was flower girl.
